Local Offices Up for Election in 2009:

 
In order to appear on the May 19th Primary ballot for election, candidates must registered voters in the township/district/region in which they want to serve for one year prior to taking office and circulate a
nomination petition, collecting at least ten signatures of registered voters, between Feb. 17 and Mar. 10. School Directors may cross-file, that is, they can run on both the Democratic and Republican ballots. This requires at least ten signatures of Democrats on one petition and ten signatures of Republicans on another.

Middletown Township Supervisor (3)
 Township Supervisors are At-Large offices, meaning they serve the entire township regardless of where they live. Candidates must be registered voters in Middletown for one year prior to taking office.

Neshaminy School Director (3)
 School Director seats are divided in three geographic regions. Candidates must be registered voters in these regions of the Neshaminy School District for one year prior to taking office:
  Region 1, 1 Seat: All of Lower Southampton Township and the Upper 2 precinct (Langhorne Terrace  
  to the Neshaminy Creek), of Middletown.
  Region 2, 1 Seat: All of Levittown; Middletown east of Route 1.
  Region 3, 2 Seats: Hulmeville Borough, Langhorne Borough, Langhorne Manor, Middletown west of  
  Route 1, (excluding Upper 2), and Penndel Borough.
