Ethics
There are good reasons to make sure elected leaders of our community are honest, upstanding, and professional. Middletown Township business should always be conducted in an ethical manner.
With millions of taxpayer dollars at stake, it is our duty as residents to make sure our elected officials are holding the best interest of the community before their own. Leaders with a personal agenda have no place in Middletown Township government. We have seen in the news time and again where corrupt leaders take advantage of their position and authority to funnel taxpayer dollars into their own pockets or those of their friends or largest campaign contributors. Middletown Township deserves better.
The DPMT strives to elect quality servants of the people who will be good stewards of every resource our first class community has to offer its residents. The DPMT serves as a way to actively participate in our municipal government by monitoring and ensuring elected public officials are accountable for the decisions that they make, and demanding that each serve to the highest standards.
Making ethical decision is best achieved by listening to individual residents, community groups and organizations on the issues that are important to the taxpayers of Middletown Township. Making decisions with input from the community just makes good sense. Independent community involvement also provides much needed oversight.
